Trudy has praised the high quality of Copeland’s small businesses.

Trudy spent Small Business Saturday visiting a selection of the constituency’s independent retailers; Lowes Court Gallery in Egremont, Boonwood Garden Centre in Gosforth, and Spindle Craft in Drigg.

It was with tremendous excitement that I hosted the launch of a company formed to bring new nuclear power to Copeland earlier this month.

Trudy to hold Egremont surgery

Trudy is looking forward to meeting Egremont residents at her surgery next week.

Trudy will hold the surgery on Saturday, December 3 from 10am to 12pm on an appointment-only basis.

Trudy visits family business

Trudy has enjoyed a visit to a blooming Copeland business that has been in the same family for generations.

Trudy visited Blomfields Ltd, located at Woodlands Nurseries, Lowca, which cultivates bedding plants across 16 acres of glasshouses on the vast site.

Trudy hosts SMR company launch

Trudy has hosted the launch of a new company formed to bring new nuclear power to the constituency.

Solway Community Power Company Ltd has been created to bring Rolls-Royce Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) to land adjacent to the Sellafield site.

Trudy announces farming community events

Trudy has launched a series of gatherings for members of the constituency’s farming community.

Trudy - a Minister in Defra - has announced four evening events in locations across the constituency, in which she will share information and updates from the sector.
