A cross-party group of Cumbrian MPs have joined forces to stress their support for the company behind Moorside following continued uncertainty around the future of the nuclear new build.

Trudy Harrison MP has officially opened this year's annual Greysouthen village show.

The event was run by Greysouthen WI from 1954 to 2016 but it had become too much work for the small group of retired people to co-ordinate.

This week, Mrs Harrison has pledged her support for a campaign to keep Grange in Borrowdale public toilets open, which is being spearheaded by a group of local residents.

Trudy Harrison is encouraging those responsible for managing car parks in the area to introduce pay-on-exit parking barriers.

It comes as Trudy welcomes news that pay-on-exit barriers to the patient and visitor car parks are being installed at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
