After retaining her seat following last week’s Parliamentary Election, the Conservative MP for Copeland, Trudy Harrison is resuming her fight for the area.
Gaining 21,062 votes during Thursday’s General Election, it was straight back to Parliament and into a positive meeting with fellow Conservative backbench MPs to discuss the future of the country following the election result.
Trudy said: “I am incredibly grateful to the 21,062 people who placed their faith in me and the Conservatives at this election and the many volunteers who supported my campaign. I will work hard for everyone in the Copeland constituency and will be getting on with the job I started back in February.”
With offices set up in both the constituency and the House of Commons, Trudy will be dividing her time between both Parliament and Copeland.
Trudy will be holding regular surgeries and meeting with residents, business owners, head teachers, health professionals and industry experts to ensure her six-point plan is implemented across Copeland.
Trudy added: “Now that my team has been recruited, and Maiden speech delivered I've reengaged meetings and priorities around nuclear, health and schools, and of course road, rail and digital connectivity. Making a success of Brexit is paramount.
“I look forward to meetings with NuGen this week and also West Cumberland Hospital and schools in the constituency. I am also looking forward to speaking at the Millom Network Centre Business Breakfast this Friday about industry and Brexit.”
