Beckermet residents chat to Copeland MP at Saturday Chataway surgery

The MP for Copeland welcomed residents to the latest Saturday Chataway surgery in Beckermet at the weekend.

Councillors and locally elected members joined Trudy Harrison MP at Beckermet Reading Rooms to speak with constituents, listen to their concerns and suggestions and assist with their issues.

Copeland councillors in attendance at the surgery included Paul Turner, Chris Whiteside, Andy Pratt, Yvonne Clarkson, David Southward, and Christopher Reay.

Mrs Harrison, said: “It was lovely to spend time with residents, discussing my work in Westminster and local issues, including Moorside and of course we couldn’t escape the topic of Brexit.

“I am looking forward to meeting residents next month in Millom.”

The next Saturday Chataway surgery will be held at The Pensioners Hall in Millom on Saturday 2nd February between 10am and 12pm.

Each month, the coffee morning style surgeries raise money for a much valued local organisation or charity.

Proceeds from this month’s Saturday Chataway surgery which raised £130.00 will be donated to Beckermet Reading Rooms.
